Given the rail network’s importance to our economy and the vital role it plays in connecting Canadians across the country, the Government of Canada and rail transport operators must ensure that the railway system operates at the highest possible levels of safety.
The Railway Safety Act Review Panel is conducting a comprehensive and independent review of the Railway Safety Act. Our focus will be on ensuring that this primary piece of legislation for the safety and security of the railway transportation network in Canada continues to uphold the best interests of Canadians.
We would like to hear your thoughts on what can be done to improve railway safety in Canada.
