Hi everyone, I am new to these forums but have been biking a while. I mountain bike on a Giant Rincon and commute 12 miles a day on my Motobecane Cafe Latte. I have changed a fair number of tires, but am puzzled by my recent problem. I picked up an old mid-80's Fuji Espree. I like it. It has 27" wheels and I got new Specialized 27"x 1.25 inch tires and tubes for it. These tires are the hardest things I have ever tried to get on a rim! The only way I could pry them on was to use tire levers, which is bad as I punctured two tubes even though I was trying to be careful. The tires are so tight it is a nightmare to get them on. Any advice? i'd rather not buy another set of tires for this $25 bike. I am relatively new to road bike tires but never had any problem with MTB tires. Are there any tricks? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. References: www.bikeforums.net/bicycle-mechanics/93451-problem-getting-tire-rim.htmlCorporate Advertising
